SSA is a design-focused architecture practice working across a range of project types and scales, from furniture and corporate interiors to single- and multi-family residential. Instead of specializing in any given market, SSA is driven by solving unique design problems and elevating our shared experience of the built environment.

SSA was founded in 2019 by Sven Schroeter, AIA NCARB, an architect with over 30 years’ experience in numerous project types, including commercial, mixed-use / high rise, residential, academic, and master planning. Inspired by a diverse background of interests in urbanism, contemporary design, the sciences and the arts, he brings both a broad perspective and thoughtful attention to detail to every project, regardless of scale.

Sven received his Master of Architecture from Harvard University’s Graduate School of Design and his Bachelor of Arts in Architecture from the University of California, Berkeley. He has served as a guest speaker and design jury member at numerous universities, and his work has been recognized with a variety of honors, awards, and publications.

SSA is registered to practice in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and the District of Columbia (registrations pending in CT, MA, and ON).
